My Top 10 Photo Session Locations in Tucson, AZ

Tucson is a place where you can experience the natural beauty of the Sonoran landscape, with its unique sunsets and rugged mountain ranges, abundant desert wildlife, and strong cultural heritage. You may find yourself wandering through the colorful Barrio Historic neighborhood while just minutes away from the urban city. Tucson blends artistic, cultural, historical, southwestern, and urban surroundings to provide you with limitless possibilities when looking for a place to capture moments on camera.

In this post, I highlighted my top 10 favorite places to shoot portraits in Tucson, whether they be for engagement sessions, family portraits, maternity photos, or senior portraits. Please be sure to keep in mind these locations as you decide to choose your own photo session spot.

Here we go!

 1. San Pedro Chapel

Built in 1932, this historic venue provides an elegant and intimate atmosphere for your engagement/wedding photos.

 2. I-10 and Sunset Rd.

Located West of the I-10 on Sunset Rd., you will find a beautiful pecan grove and endless possibilities for photographing portraits.

 3. The University of Arizona Main Campus

There are numerous spots you can find on campus to take beautiful photos, such as Old Main, Orange Grove trees, and in front of the Forbes building, to name a few...

4. Pinnacle Peak --Trail Dust Town

Probably one of my favorite places to shoot portraits and to simply have fun! Trail Dust Town is a beautiful western themed attraction that offers a historical outdoor shopping center and quirky areas around the park for your unique Old Western themed photographs.

5. Agua Caliente Park

I first discovered this hidden gem while on a retreat. It's a magical little oasis in the desert where I can escape and take pictures for hours.

6. St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church

A Historic church located north of Campbell. Built in 1936.

 7. Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa

8. Mission San Xavier del Bac

A historic Spanish Catholic mission located about 10 miles south of downtown Tucson, on the Tohono O'odham San Xavier Indian Reservation.

9. Sabino Canyon

With soaring mountains and deep canyons, this location serves as an idyllic spot for a photo session in the desert.

10. Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort

Where historical elegance meets modern and sophisticated luxury.

While that is it for my list of my top 10 favorite photo spots, the list can truly go on! Feel free to message me on here if you feel that you are struggling to find a place for your own session and need more suggestions. However, I would highly encourage you to explore on your own. Maybe if you take an alternative route than what you're used to, you may discover a location that you never thought you could find. And the best part would be making memories in the process!
