I’ve gotten to know Wendi over the past year through a few photo collaborations with other photographers. What drew me to her was her kind warm spirit and her photographic style—that deep dark emotional art that evokes feelings we don’t quite like to face but need to in order to cope with them. I LOVED that. Since doing personal training with her, we got to know each other better and collaborate on photo sessions related to themes, such as sleep paralysis and dreams. I also got to know her husband Chad who would help out with the photos sessions by holding lights and carrying props.
When Wendi asked if I could photograph her 18th anniversary with Chad, I couldn’t contain my excitement. It’s such an honor to be asked by another photographer to photograph them. I imagine photographers get really picky about who they choose to be photographed by since photographers get picky about how they shoot. Maybe that’s just how I think (LOL). This shoot was a lot of fun and adventurous. We hiked trails, climbed over rocks, and listened to some good 90’s alternative rock music. These two are also hilarious and their love for each other is palpable. Love looks good on them.
